Philips OTG (On-the-Go) Shaver is a concept design project tailored for Gen-Z consumers in China, a generation known for their openness to new trends and experiences.
The project focused on creating a unique grooming product that aligns with their lifestyle and values. The design explored a range of forms and user experiences, with an emphasis on the ritualistic experience of opening the shaver’s cap, adding a sense of anticipation and ceremony to the act of shaving.
The CMF (Color, Material, Finish) combination was carefully chosen to resonate with Gen-Z's desire for bold, stylish, and functional products. Additionally, the design sought to incorporate outdoor attributes, such as a strap for portability, making the shaver easy to carry and use on the go. This combination of form, experience, and outdoor functionality aims to appeal to the dynamic, trend-driven lifestyle of young consumers.
