Philips Series 8000 Hairdryer was developed to address Philips' declining market share in the hairdryer segment, as the brand lacked a high-speed motor model. To compete, Philips introduced its first brushless high-speed motor hairdryer, designed for young white-collar and middle-class women with carefully curated CMF options to match local preferences.
The design inherits the iconic mid-range Philips hairdryer language, emphasizing ion technology on the front cap and featuring circular hole patterns on the air inlet and outlet to convey a sense of both care and high performance.
A distinctive detail is the magnet ring for nozzle attachments, seamlessly integrated as a visible element and finished in a one-tone-darker plated color, subtly highlighting its functionality.
LED screen user interface at the back enhances usability, with a refined user flow that simplifies transitions between custom and preset settings. Additionally, color ring indicators intuitively represent air temperature, ensuring a seamless and user-friendly styling experience.
